Artichoke casserole with bechamel sauce

Artichokes contain fiber, vitamin C, K and are also packed with antioxidants.

This recipe is popular for kids and adults; it is perfect as an appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour.
  • Salt and white pepper.
  • 1-quart whole milk.
  • Rich Land Artichokes. 
  • 1 TS diced shallots.
  • ½ cup of parmesan cheese.
  • Unsalted butter.

Method:

  • Preheat oven to 350 Degree F.
  • Heat saucepan, put butter and diced shallots, then put flour till it gives a golden color.
  • Put milk and stir them over and over until the sauce has thickened to about yogurt consistency.
  • Season it with salt and pepper.
  • Let it boil for 5 minutes with continuous stirring.
  • Now bring your casserole, add a splash of olive oil, and then put artichokes and then parmesan cheese.
  • Spread bechamel sauce and sprinkle a little pit of cheese on the top.
  • Put it in the oven for 30 min., until it gets golden brown and crispy on top.
